My Ipad will not come on after I charged it.

Try reset iPad

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Note: Data will not be affected.

This worked but...why does it cut off in the first place when I was just on it 30 min. ago?  I have had it along time and never had this problem.  The shop I took it to first said it was the battery so he supposedly put a new battery in it . I t did the same thing after getting home.   I took it back to him and he said the switch was loose and he fixed that.  After getting home, it would not come on again.  This site said hold both buttons for at least 10 secand that worked.  Why???

Why?

1. The thread is more than 3 years old.

2. You don't get any support after your device is opened by a 3rd party.

Who knows what they did. BTW, Apple do not sell battery to 3rd Party.
