How to turn off the flick up dock?

Is there a way to turn off the dock in apps and on safari? It’s driving me crazy that I cannot scroll on safari without the dock constantly popping up. Not only is this feature causing me problems on safari, but it also makes playing certain games impossible. For example while playing cooking fever, any time I try to grab something from the bottom of the screen to serve to a customer, I’m pulled completely out of the game. I find this incredibly frustrating, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

As near as I can find out, you cannot. The most you can do is remove suggested and recent apps from the dock.

If you’d like to send Apple feedback, perhaps they can consider other options for the dock in future updates. (I too deal with it popping up when I don’t want it to.....my solution is to try and avoid the bottom of the screenas much as possible....which doens’t always work)
