Time Machine Backups Too Large

I use Time Machine to make backups in an automatic way, i.e. macOS Sierra makes one every hour. I store theses backups in a Seagate hard drive via WiFi, as it is connected to the router of my home.

For some time I have been observed that Time Machine makes backups very large, around 5-6 GB each, every hour. This issue sounds me weird taking into account that between these hours I had only changed some documents (word, pdf) and I had added some small pictures around 300KB each or even I had only browsed with Google Chrome.

I guess I should have an issue to solve, as I have understood that Time Machine only makes security copies of the files that have been modified since the last backup. Furthermore, I configured Time Machine to not to make backups of the folders where I have big video files stored and Dropbox folder.

May you have any suggestion? may you have the same problem?
