External webcam not found

First, about the time I upgraded my Macbook Air 13" (early 2014 build) to Yosemite (which I don't really recall when that was) my iSight camera stopped working when using latest version of Skype [7.58 (501)]. The camera is not found in PhotoBooth, Face Time or Skype now.

Since, I have purchased a Logitech webcam C425 (UVC) to use as an external camera. The System Report indicates the webcam is attached to either USB slots. Still 'no video capture devices were found' when checking Camera in System Report. I've tried both recommended sudo's in terminal, no better. I've tried PRAM, etc with no change.

Yosemite currently 10.10.5 (14F2511).

How do I get this external camera, or my iSight, working correctly in Skype?
