help! Macbook pro and water!

I have a macbook pro, and 3 days ago I accidentally spilled a little bit of water on it, it immediately powered off on it's own. However I immediately wiped it and accidentally pressed on the power button which turned it on, I immediately powered it off and placed it on its edges above a towel (in the shape of a tipi) a few hours later, I placed it in rice for 3 days, but the problemis that when I took it out, it wouldn't turn on, amd when I charge it, the charger doesn't show the little green or orange light. What should I do? (I just changed the screen which costs a lot, so I am wondering if there is a solution that is not very expensive)

Ps: I am leaving it in the charger for now, in hopes of it working.

the only solution is to bring it into Apple for an evaluation

Have it checked at a repair center or Apple Store. Water and notebooks just don't mix.

Sorry to hear about your issues. Did you get it fixed yet? I had the same thing happen to my 2017 MacBook Pro 13" About a week ago. Water got into my display, some got into the computer body on the left side, and my remote display stopped working immediately. I powered the computer off, but every time I moved the screen it would turn back on. ARGH!

Anyway, I did not have AppleCare, and was just outside of the 60 day grace period to buy it, so I was on my own. I took the computer home, pulled the back off the main body, and set it on its side with the wet part downwards. Then, I placed a fan behind it to blow on the exposed computer board and left it overnight. Before I set it down I tapped it with the wet side down onto my hand, and some water came out from the area around the USB ports.

The next day, I reassembled it and was able to use it normally. The screen still has some water in it, but that water is between the plastic sheets in the screen. The water in the screen is slowly going away, and I expect that it will be mostly dried up within a couple weeks. I'm not sure if the plastic sheets in the screen will have any water spots, or be stuck together anywhere, but I'm hoping that normal use and pressure changes from plane flights and driving up to the mountains will fully pull the sheets apart. I'm definitely not planning on the pulling the screen apart to clean them by hand!

The long and short of this repair is that it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. Your situation might be different, but that's how it worked for me.

P.S. I accidentally went swimming with my iPhone 5S in my pocket a year ago for about 15 minutes, and it was totally fine once it dried out. I was at elevation, in the heat, and in really dry Sierra air, so it dried out in a day. The water was crystal clear mountain runoff too.

Count your blessings.

In similar events such as yours the outcome does not generally end well for others.

and it doesn't matter what the water was, if its wet and it gets inside an electronic device you can likely kiss that device goodbye.
