Adding a 2nd ipod

Hi All, I'm a real 'newbie' & am not very savvy with technology.. so I thought I'd better ask those in the know before I start & make a mess of things!

I have an OLD 7 gig ipod. It's full of music & playlist I have spent HOURS creating.

I have bought a new 16gig iPod touch & want to add all the current music & playlists that are on my old iPod to the new one, but also add new music & playlists to the new 16 gig.

I also want to be able to keep the current music/playlists on the old ipod.

Best way to do this please?

Create Multiple User Accounts? Though this sounds better if you want different music - I want the same music and playlist + more new music & playlists.

Sync devices to playlists? This sounds better.. but I wasn't sure how this would work with the music library & my old iPod being full...?

Create a new Library? This would solve the old one being full (I think), but sounds like 'doubling up' as I want all these songs/playlists on the new ipod too - but also add new music & playlists to the new ipod... I also want to make sure my playlists on the old iPod are on the new Ipod.

Any suggestions of the best way to start, would be much appreciated

Many thanks,

Leeo.
