How can I update my MacBook Air to the latest u...

I recently found that I could no longer use my laptop functionally as there was far too much storage being taken up, as I realised I did not need to keep any of the stored data, I decided to factory reset my MacBook Air, along with this came my laptop reverting back to the latest update that it had when I first purchased it.

I have attempted to update it but it is still the same version, I was wondering if anyone knew how to update it to the newest update released.

Your machine info shows a G5 running 10.4.6. Is that correct? Then the maximum any Power Mac G5 can run is 10.5.8....

You may be able to run anywhere from 10.7.5 all the way up to 10.13. To start with, go to the Apple menu and select the App Store > Updates to see what you've downloaded before and will be allowed to download/install again.

My MacBook is the 11 inch from Early 2014, before I reset it, the software was updated so that the symbols were not the older symbols (pardon the lack of tech jargon, I don't know too much about it) and so I do know that it can be further updated than it is currently.

I have attempted to check for the newest updates but it appears that it is updated to the most current.

The last update was version 10.9.5 installed today.

I am not sure where to go from here as it is rather frustrating.
