How can I end my subscription to an app

I purchased an app and I actually deleted the app for roughly a month, however it still charged my card $4.99 , even though I deleted the app and have not been using it. I recently downloaded the app again to see if there was a way to end this subscription it has me on but it was absolutely useless. Please help me cancel/ end this subscription. I tried going through my settings and seeing if I could unsubscribe but it was useless, as well as me trying to go through my itunes app and trying to cancel it. 

I was not aware that I was even going to be withdrawn money from my account still. Thank you.

Apple accounts would not know you had deleted the app.

View, change, manage subscriptions.    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039

And follow the instructions to cancel the existing arrangement.   After you have done that, on the bottom of the receipt is an invitation to report a problem.   Use that as your basis to ask for a refund.
