iTunes won play music

My mac mini is playing all sounds thru attached speakers including youtube, system sounds etc, but when I open itunes I click the play triangle only any music or video and nothing happens, it is not greyed out and its as if I didn't click. Oddly I can play saved voice memos with no issues.

 

It was working fine until last Thursday when I took it to the Doncaster Apple store.

 

Any ideas?
