Selecting multiple objects not on screen in Log...

Until recently when editing a score in Logic Pro X (10.3.2), I have been able to click and drag the mouse pointer to select multiple objects including those not viewable because they're off the edge of the page. However this is no longer happening, and I have to select the group of visible objects, then scroll the along the linear view, hold down the shift button, and then select additional objects. This is very time consuming, but I can't find anything in the manual or preferences of either logic or the OS to indicate why this is happening.

It's sure to be something simple, but I can't figure it out! Does anyone have any ideas?
