MBP Mid 2015 running hot

Hey,

i bought a Macbook Pro a few months ago and i was wondering if it was really normal that my Mac runs hot when only running like Safari. I searched for like 1 hour and i ended up at this conclusion: it's normal, but a few hours ago i met a friend with almost the same Mac and he was running Safari with multiple tabs and his Mac was perfectly cold when for me with one tab it runs hot (when i say it's running hot it's not running THAT hot but way to much for only 1 Safari tab).

i've done a SMC reset, i checked multiple times the Activity Monitor and only Safari runs.

Also i don't know if it has something to do with this but when i start running an app that requires more power (like a game) after like 1-2 hours the battery start draining.

Hi,

No two computers are exactly the same, including the temperatures they generate while running. Heat is subjective. Use a temperature monitoring app and fan monitoring app to see what temps really are, and if your fans are running to cool things down like they're supposed to:

Fan monitoring app:

smcFanControl (use this only if you can control the urge to control the fan speed; Mac OS X/macOS is designed to do this properly without outside interference): google for smcfancontrol or others.
