Ipad in Russia

I gave my old Ipad2 to my father in law who lives in Russia. I log of my account and now no one can  log in. I have bought it in Finland and now the ipad is in russia.

Why not?  What happens when they try to log in?

You can try following the steps in the section titled: "If you no longer have your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch" to make sure its properly released from your account.

Then have your father in law restore it using iTunes on a computer, and it should let him set it up.

There are no location restrictions for activating and using iPad, including older models.

I’d recommend connecting to a different Wi-Fi network.
