Need some help restoring 2009 Macbook to factor...

Hi. I have a 2009 MacBook Core 2 Duo that I don't need anymore and have been trying to sell. However, I think I've gone wrong while trying to restore it to factory settings ready for sale.

I followed the guide here but subsequently realised I didn't deauthorise my Itunes account or sign out of iCloud. Now, when I try to reinstall OS it prompts for my Itunes account details, which I enter, and then it doesn't install, claiming the item is unavailable.

Is there a way I can reinstall OS (El Capitan), deauthorise my Itunes account, sign out of Icloud, then restore to factory settings ready for sale? I know I can deauthorise the Macbook from my Itunes account, signing in online, but this still ends up with the same result when rebooting, e.g. prompting for a log in.

Any advice is greatly appreciated as I'm not a regular Mac user. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, but let me put it another way as I've done most of those processes: When I boot the MacBook up and it prompts to install the OS, I am prompted to enter an Apple ID e.g. It does not log in with my credentials. Can I safely assume this is ready to pass on to another person?
