Whatsapp backup problem

So i just bought a new iphone 8, and before activating my new iphone i made a whatsapp backup on my old phone without a problem so then when i downloaded whatsapp on my new phone and tried to get the backup i got the error "couldn't restore chat history" so my question is, is there anyway to get a old backup? not the lastest because i think its corrupted and that maybe the reason why its not working. I have really important information and files on whatsapp and its really and a emergency to get that backup. Thanks..

I don't believe there's anything you can do at this point if you restored from a previous backup and you're not seeing the conversations.
