Playlist photo resizing

In 10.1.1 you are able to select or take a photo as a 'cover' for your playlists in Music, the app not service. Cool feature but when a image is selected you are arrive at a 'scale and move' page that fills the entire iPad screen. I have yet to get an image to size anywhere near what was intended. Anyone know what the suggested dimensions are? Or any other limitations that can affect this function?

Still curious to see if this bug is even in consideration for a future release or if Apple has a workaround. I realize that in terms of development that this is a lower priority, but for heavy music users and playlist builders, cover art is an extension of our creativity no matter how minor it would seem. I would love to add and edit images to create custom cover art before IOS11.

iTunes albums artwork are 1400 x 1400 in pixels.

Also if on Windows or macOS you can try https://www.gimp.org/. It a free photoshop program. It pretty advance for a free one.
