I can no longer see books in my latest version ...

I am replacing my failed ipad mini and want to bring across the epub books and purchased books I had in iTunes (460 of them)

I upgraded Itunes to latest version and all of a sudden I cannot see my books in library.

I can drag onto ipad from original epubs, but when I try to sync my music as well it wants to delete the books on ipad.

So questions are

1. Why have books option disappeared from itunes library

2. How do I reload and manage books in itunes now?

Very frustrated that aApple makes thius change and just wipes them out of library with no warning on Itunes update!! My ePub files and Itunes are on Windows 10 PC.
