Are all apple store apps the same on all devices

I got a mac mini and want to purchase an ipad pro. The app I am looking for does not seem to appear on my mac mini apple store. Can it be that touch-feature apps only appear on touch enabled macs?

iPads and Macs have seperate stores. Their apps are not interchangeable.

Apps for iDevices (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) will not be compatible with the Mac, as they use different operating systems.
