manual back up in i tunes is greyed out

Hello, I am trying to back up my 7 plus but in the manual  back up section the back up is greyed out?

I am trying to back up to my pc.

Did you unlock the device before connecting to your computer? You may need to respond to any prompt to trust the computer.

Yes I was asked to trust my computer and I entered a code, it was greyed out for my 6 plus and now for my 7 plus, I have tried uninstalling i tunes and reinstalling it and it is still the same?

See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for advice on reinstalling iTunes. A full tear down and rebuild, running the installer as administrator might be worthwhile. Running iTunes as the administrator may also have an impact if the issue revolves around permissions on the folders where the backup data would be stored.

So you are saying to uninstall i tunes and reinstall as administrator?

You could try running iTunes as administrator first to see if that makes a difference, otherwise yes. Uninstalling all Apple components, and then reinstalling as the administrator might help.

Tried and no go so I will again uninstall and reinstall and delete all apple folders etc.

Well I have tried everything and i am done, so I will get Syncios and have no more troubles and Thank you for your help.

I have one more thought, I noticed on my phone in the settings in the apple id and i cloud section under the device info it says model windows, and the version says 6.1 (1.0) when i am running windows 7 home. I am wondering if the phone hooked up won't totally communicate thinking it's on windows 6.1 or is that not relevant?

Nope, not relevant. You could try reinstalling the device driver as shown in iOS device not showing in iTunes for Windows but if it shows in iTunes already that ought not to be necessary.
