Retrieving Notifications in More Depth

I saw a notification pop up for someone called me on Google Hangouts, but I cannot find the notification anymore, is there a way to locate a log of all notifications aside from the notifications menu on the top right corner?

I was thinking maybe the Console or Activity Monitor, but not sure if they specifically track incoming Hangout calls that I may have missed.

I also checked my Hangouts history and didn't see any history of anyone calling so I don't know what I saw, nor do I know how to retrieve that detailed information.

I would like to know where I can find a history of all the events that happen on each of my machines in our network.

I was connected to my MacBook Pro 2015 Retina screen-sharing from the iMac 27" 2013 via our home network. So potentially the message I saw could have come from either Mac.

I thought also about checking the history on my Airport Time Capsule but will have to search online to find out the specifics of checking the history on the Time Capsule, (if that's even possible).

Does anyone know of effective methods for troubleshooting this kind of situation between a network of Macs on a home network? Thanks.
