artwork display

I was able to obtain a full screen display of artwork associated with songs on my iPad 4th generation until IOS 10 was inadvertently loaded. Now the display is about one eighth of the screen size. I dock the iPad on a Bang & Olufsen Beosound 8 and when it controls my music selection (On/Off/Vol/Fwd/Bkwd) I get the full screen artwork as prior to IOS 10 but after 6 seconds the screen goes blank! Anyone have ideas on how to correct this problem. Over the years I have invested many, many hours correlating website photos to song artists and titles and setting up appropriate iTunes files which now seem absolutely wasted. Why does Apple not consult with its users prior to issuing an apparently never ending stream of stupid and contentious upgrades?  OH,  I have just been informed during  a telephone call with Apple support on the artwork problem that my iPad model cannot be upgraded to IOS version 11!
