Something weird happens to my iMac screen after...

Hello,

 

Lately, after I leave my 5k iMac in sleep for a while, the screen takes a while to display the login, and before displaying it something weird appears in the upper left corner, it looks like tiny white letters, just like those you use in Command on windows, couldn't really tell as they are really really tiny. Then the screen remains black until I press a key or use the magic mouse. What could be the problem?
