Transfer Music

I transferred my iTunes file to a new PC.  All songs are shown in the iTunes Music file.  However, when I open iTunes, not all the songs appear.  The iTunes Media folder location is correct.  Any clues?

Copying the media folder has no affect.

Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.

I had already tried that and it didn't work...

It will work if the ENTIRE iTunes folder is copied including the iTunesLibrary.itl file. 

You do not want the iTunesLibrary.itl file on the new computer, instead you want the one from the old computer.

Hi, another thing you might be interested to know would be on how to transfer your music playlist from one library to another like spotify to itunes or other services. I would recommend the Musconv tool. - Bangelica
