Assuming you are asking about installing the drive in the "other" Macbook Pro, what year/model is the "other" Macbook Pro? If it is the same then yes you can swap out the drive.

You could get an external enclosure and use the drive as an external drive connected to the "other" Macbook Pro.

Yes they are both identical MacBooks I bought a working one on eBay that doesn’t have a HDD or battery so I was gonna put the components from the broken one into the one I bought on ebay
