Slow file moving/downloading

Macbook Air, 13-inch, running Sierra, 4 GB memory.

So for a long time I have had a very slow response time for moving files and downloading files in the finder, desktop, etc.  The problem is only with my user, if I login as a guest it seems to run fine.  I have tried many things including booting up in safe mode and reinstalling OS, though I then used a time machine backup to restore everything and the problem remains.

Would really appreciate any ideas on how to solve this, banging my head against the wall right now....  I have used etrecheck and can provide that log...

Thank you!

Will

That is not surprising. If you do a clean install and then migrate everything you basically restore your system to the point it was before.

Completely uninstall "tuneupmymac". Never fall for any program that claims to clean, speed up or er... tune your mac.

Also, I see that you also seemed to at times have "cleanmymac" - a notorious scam that has claimed many victims over the years.

And what is this "Trigger" software?
