Macbook Pro (Mid 2012) Won't Play ANY Media (i....

Greetings,

I have a 13" Macbook Pro Mid-2012 model on OS X 10.9.5 that I recently Factory Reset and reinstalled the OS on.

It refuses to play any media (i.e. videos, music) from websites such as Youtube, Hulu and Vevo while using Chrome and Safari. It also refuses to play music from my installed Spotify app. As you can imagine, the Spotify Web Player doesn't work either.

Thus far I've done the following:

- Installed Flash Player 27

- Restarted my computer

- Disabled hardware acceleration on Chrome

- Disabled all Chrome extensions

- Enabled Javascript

- Installed a Chrome extension called "Disable Youtube HTML5 Player"

- Reset all Chrome settings

- Uncheck all boxes under Spotify's "Local Files" category in Settings

This is a very strange occurence; does anyone have any insight or tips to help resolve this issue?
