Has Apple developed their own system of angle measurement?

As you know, a right angle is 90 degrees. The angle in the pictures is definitely more than 90 degrees, so it simply can't be 75 degrees in any way.

Probably. Where are Apple claiming it is 90º?

I can only see references to 'Wide Angle' on the iPhone 7 plus spec

https://www.apple.com/iphone-7/specs/

I assume that is what you are referring to?

If you want a wider angle you can get add on adaptors for many iOS devices, otherwise consider returning if it fails to meet your needs (you get 14 days no questions returns).

LOL.

You can measure angles in more than one direction

They probably meant from the level desk to the underside the laptop, which looks closer to 75º.

Give them some credit for being consistent(ly wrong) in the other 3 illustrations on the same page!

I'm aware of that, thanks!

That, however, doesn't change the fact, that the angle displayed in the picture is clearly neither 75 degrees, nor it is less than 90 degrees.

As a wild guess, I would suggest it is 105°. Which would make the other angle........ Wait for it............... 75°.  Ain't geometry wonderful.

That they did!

The illustrator was in art class while you were studying geometry. But he or she did get a job with Apple so nothing to complain about!

That is great, thanks!

However, as you may observe, the angle displayed in the picture (which is clearly defined by a dashed line) is definitely not 75 degrees.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

Helpful indeed, but I guess the big question is "Why does it matter"?

I know, right?

Highly doubt, though, that the illustrator was in art class when I was studying geometry, because that was back in eighties, probably before this illustrator was born

It matters because many people expect a high tech company like Apple to at least proof the materials they post. Not being able to locate this simple error and correct it might lead people think how poorly educated or lacking attention to details people working for Apple might be.

By reporting this, I'm providing my small input and feedback to making Apple great again.

Cheers!

Well, to give you and them credit, they fixed this!  the 75 degree angle is now illustrated in green on the other side (the complementary angle)!

However, the photo is still confusing as it now shows the MacBook balancing on its left front edge!

Photo #2 also makes it look like a mini-tiny-wee MacBook that is smaller than a hand-- it shows the laptop balancing on a finger tip!    LOL!
