iTunes keeps asking for Apple ID password repea...

I recently got an iPhone 8 plus. I was able to sync it to my iCloud and transferred all my data. A few days later, I was trying to open iTunes on my computer and I was prompted to re-enter my Apple ID password. I entered it and it sent a verification to my phone. I entered the verification into the password field and it just keeps popping up over and over again asking for my password. I’ve tried entering just the verification code, my password then the verification code...nothing works. So I cannot use iTunes on my computer because it won’t stop asking for my password.
