Macbook single core slow

I brought Macbook pro, a week ago, 16gb i7 2.9Ghz 15". I had a school project that took 745 second to run on my old Macbook pro (2011 13" i5 2.3 Ghz ). On the new Macbook it consistently takes around 780 seconds what is about 5% worse then on my old Macbook, the geekbench score however suggest that it should be 50% faster then my old macbook : PassMark - CPU Performance Comparison

What could be reason for this?

This very much depends on the project and the tools you use for the project, what you put on your MacBook before running the project (ie how full is the hard drive), what you were running at the same time as the project ran (ie how busy the RAM was). Can you give some more details on the above details? Is it a consistent problem? Have you run the project on other laptops? Do you know if other people have or don't have this problem?

I suggest you use the program created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor.  It will provide a snapshot of your system which we can analyze to possibly determine the cause of your problem. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. On the screen with Options, please open Options and check the bottom 2 boxes before running. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.

Etrecheck – System Information

Report below but I can tell you that my older Macbook had a lot more apps running. The new app doesn't have many apps. Also the ram was clean etc.
I installed PyCharm and Pythons VIrtualenvironment - just like on the older macbook - and used the same VirtualEnvironment descriptor as on the older macbook. So the Python versions and other libraries are exactly the same.

The report was generated in similar conditions where I ran the scripts, haven't closed programs since I ran the script:

EtreCheck version: 3.4.6 (460)
