2016 Macbook Pro W/Touchbar.. No Power?

I have had my 2016 MacBook pro for 10-11 months. Was left closed plugged in on my desk. Went and opened the shell yesterday to use it and the screen showed very low power.

I plugged it in several places. Tried to reset SMC - Called apple support with them telling me that next appointment is 2-3 days. I went right into apple store and it turns out to be a hardware fail. Either the logic board or top case needs to be replaced.

Has anyone experienced this issue with the 2016 model? I had a 2011 MacBook pro that still runs to this day and not even 1 year in with this one and complete failure.
