Lost IMAP inbox mails after changing incoming s...

How do I restore or access the emails in the inbox of my IMAP account, which got deleted immediately I changed incoming and outgoing server details from 'preferences'?

I use macOS Sierra, Version 10.12.6 and Mail Version 10.3 (3273)

Please help. Thanks.

Try deleting/adding the account or reindexing Mail.

Reindex messages           For El Capitan, try looking in V3. Sierra use V4. High Sierra use V5.
