Apple Smashed my Watch

Hi,

My partners 3 month old Apple Watch recently died, for no reason it refused to power on. We sent it back to apple for repair. A few days later they sent a picture of the watch with the screen completely smashed.

The watch screen was in perfect order when we sent it for repair and we have pictures. Apple have now said that they cannot repair it and have sent it back. End of story, with no further explanation.

How is this allowed to happen? A £400 watch bought in good faith and only 3 months old is now a useless piece metal and plastic all thanks to apple and their so called care department.

We are now expected to simply go and buy another one?

Can someone explain to me how this is acceptable?
