audio file to text automatically

I found, while Googling, a site that showed how to have an audio file transcribed to text using:

1) Soundflower App (an app to have two different app communicate with each other)

2) Audacity App

3) Word or any other document app.

Has anyone else successfully tried this?

It tells us to download the Soundflower app, then change the setting of DICTATION AND SPEECH. Then open Audacity and Word and place them  side by side - changing the Output to Soundflower 2ch in Audacity - play the audio file then quickly click on Word and telling it to dictate (fn fn) Site: <<leveluplunch.com/blog/2013/12/30/convert-recorded-audio-text-using-osx-dictation -audacity-soundflower/>>

The thing is, it's not working for me.

I found another tutorial before this one that talked about using Google Doc and their Voice typing tool after Soundflower was downloaded Site: <<techwiser.com/transcribe-youtube-video/>>; That didn't work either.

What could possible be blocking the communication btw the 2 apps?

Oh, and I also downloaded an app called Transcriptions and same thing. Audio plays but the part where it should be typing out does nothing.
