why does my hyphen key keep typing on its own?

The hyphen key on my keyboard types by itself. It’s impossible for me to even log in because it wouldn’t let me type my password since I have no control! I have sent it for repair once and it was fine for a few weeks till it began again. The guy who sent my laptop in for repair said that it was a system issue. Was wondering if it is possible for me to get a replacement laptop since it has only been about 6 months since I got this MacBook Air.
