Admin username and password

For years I've got a Macbook. Since four years I've got the Macbook Air. Never, never have problems with it, till now.

I wanted to create a new account, but the lock was on. To unlock it, I've - like always - to fill in the username and password. I did it, but it was wrong. Tried it again, still wrong.

I always use the same passwords on this notebook, so I don't understand how it can be wrong. Is it possible to reset this password?

Thanks for your reply. It doesn't work.

I can click 'wijzig wachtwoord (change password'. I already changed it, but it doesn't help me unlock the lock.

I think that maybe my 'Gastgebruiker (gast account)' is an admin and I'm not anymore.

Make your Robin account an Admin.

And how should I do that if I'm not able to unlock the settings?
