Dell P2715Q and Sleep Mode issue with Mac Mini

I purchased a Dell P2715Q 4k ips monitor recently for my 2011 Mac Mini with Yosemite installed.

The monitor works and looks great!

I am having a minor issue.  When my Mac goes to sleep, there are times when I wake it back up that the monitor won't wake.  I have to turn the monitor off and back on.

This seems to only happen when I use displayport (I purchased a new cable as well, but same issue).

Any thoughts?

It's a minor annoyance, but Dell support seems to think it has something to do with the Mac.  I'm not sure either way.

Need to disable DDC/CI is menu -> other.
