Purchased Movie Won't Play

Hi,

I purchased a movie and watched it once but now when I try to play it again the screen is just black with no sound and sometimes the main menu pops up but every time I click play, nothing happens. I can watch all of the other movies, I purchased. How can I fix this?

Also, can movies be watched offline, like on an airplane?

What have you tried e.g. have you deleted the film and copied it back from your backup, or (and if the film is still in your country's store and you have't moved countries since buying it) tried deleting it and redownloading it from the store (Account > Purchased menu option on a computer's iTunes) ?

You should be able to, as long as they are fully downloaded on the device/computer that you are will be using (and, if it's a computer, the iTunes account is authorised on it).

Over a hundred other people have this question (including me) and no one has answered it?? This is a basic function of iTunes. None of my movies will play. This is SUPER frustrating Apple.

So, I de-authorized my computer from my iTunes account and re-authorized it and the movies started working. Fair warning, my iTunes music songs disappeared until I re-merged that music with my iTunes. That freaked me out but it was not a big deal. Just tried to add a new song to one of my playlists and it asked me if I wanted to merge my songs.
