Down loading High Sierra

I have a MacBook Pro (mid 2010). I have loaded High Sierra and it is confirmed in `About this Mac` but nothing has changed. Any ideas please?

What version of macOS was your Mac running prior to the upgrade?

What changes were you expecting?

After downloading, it should be installed. Is there an installer in you Applications folder? What happens if you double-click on that?

Hi Allan, it was running El Capitan. I was expecting the changes to various apps shown on the Apple.com site for the new system. eg changes in Photos, having a pin in Notes, Top Hits in Mail. Also if I go back into Apple Store it does not show up as a purchase when all other OS upgrades are there and also the Supplemental Updates I down loaded at the same time.

No, this is my third attempt. I have downloaded all the OS updates since 2010 with no problems. I followed the instructions on screen it down loads, etc it reboots but there is no screen image change to High Sierra, no changes to any features that I can find except,when I press About this Mac, the message macOS High Sierra comes up. If I go back into Apple Store it shows all previous upgrades plus other software...+ the recent Supplemental Upgrade that I also down loaded.
