What happens when you press command-r?

Nothing ! Tried command + R as well. There are no options opening up

Try an SMC reset:

Restarting  in  SafeBoot  mode is always a good first step. This clears certain system cache files for a fresh start.

Is this an original HD or a SSD?

Sorry sir but it did not help. I had shut off my mac  again via power button and its not opening

Ive pressed command option and R while starting and my mac has started internet recovery. I hope the issue gets solved

Use Disk Utility > First Aid on your hard drive, then try booting normally. If that doesn't work try leroydouglas' suggestion of booting up in Safe Mode.

I have erased my mac and downloaded os 10 mavericks. But now im havinv trouble signing in my Apple ID. I dont use an iphone now and im not getting where i can changr the option for sending code via text message. Is there any other way??
