Arabesque Still Choppy on High Sierra

Hello all,

Just upgraded my early 2011 MacBook Pro to High Sierra from El Capitan, which I absolutely loved. Only risked the upgrade for the newer more protected Safari. Everything is working fine now that I've turned off Siri except my Arabesque screen saver. Was super afraid I would find more graphics glitches as I explored the new OS but so far it only specifically affects this one screen saver. Switching to Flurry made everything fine again. Arabesque is slow to start, choppy while running and then lags probably a good 5-10 scary seconds on a black screen after pressing the space bar and getting out of it. I saw another discussion about this happening in Sierra but I have no option to disable "automatic graphics switching". After removing all of my energy/battery saving options it's still glitchy anyway. I'd really like it back, obviously not a deal breaker but I've used that screensaver for years. I'm doubting there's an actual solution I'm capable of performing to get it back although if you are aware of one please let me know. I'm  hoping this gains enough attention for Apple to address in their next minor bug fixing update.
