iCloud Photos uploads without permission?

Hi all,

The title is a little misleading intentionally. Please bear with me. Late September, I installed icloud soft on my PC for the purposes of downloading stuff from icloud photos. I downloaded everything i needed and forgot about icloud. Recently i noticed an unusually high amount of internet traffic on my side, especially uploading. After some investigating, i found out that icloud photos was responsible for 160 gb of data transfer out of 180gb total for the past two weeks. I gather icloud photos uploaded my stuff to its servers because i did not disable the automatic upload feature. Ok. The question is , when i login to icloud to look for what has been uploaded, i do not see anything there. So, where are all of the 160gb of files ? Considering that my allowed storage is 5gb , how could it upload 160gb worth of files and not display it anywhere? I would like to also delete what has been uploaded. Please help)

I googled this before coming here and i'm sorry if related questions have already been answered, i did not find anything.
