Disk space fluctuates wildly with iCloud
I have a MacBook Pro (mid 2012) with High Sierra installed on a 500GB drive and iCloud document storage enabled. Free disk space fluctuates wildly from 200GB free to zero. As it reaches zero, programs start failing (e.g. Outlook does a forced shutdown due to lack of disk space). Then iCloud disk management does it's thing and clears 200GB of space but then the files start downloading again. Over the course of a few hours the disk fills up and the whole cycle starts again.
How can I configure iCloud document management to be more consistent; or stop it reloading files that I havent called for?
Thanks for your thoughts.
