Deleting user accounts

My mom just bought a new iMac, and somehow imported user accounts over from her old Windows computer (I don't know anything about this process). When she did this there were about 6 accounts, but she's the only user of this new computer, so I deleted them all. We did this last night, but System Preferences still won't let us close the window (or reboot the computer), this is the error message:

"Users & Groups preferences is removing a user account and saving the Home directory to a disk image."

I deleted all but her main account, I have no idea what it's doing. Can anyone help?

Okay, just found out that the process she (and my sister) used was called "Immigration". As far as I can tell no content got transferred over, just these user accounts (as in, her old photos and such aren't on this new computer).
