Battery Not Charging, Already Replaced Everything

I've got a very odd situation. We took a flight to Europe and found that somehow our Macbook Air 13" Mid-2013 had gotten water damaged from something under the seat in front of us. Frustrating enough…

So, the damage seemed to result in a battery and charging issue. We were getting the "Battery is not charging" error when we'd click on the battery icon in the menu.

I started replacing parts. Started with the Logic Board (not realizing that it was more likely to be the I/O board). No change. Then I replace the battery and the I/O board. Still getting the same issue.

The strange thing here is that OS X recognized that the laptop is on the power adapter. It says "Power Source: Power Adapter" when you click on the battery icon. But, when I try to run diagnostics at boot time it fails telling me to connect to a power source.

I was able to run Diagnostics back when the water damage first happened, but I've not been able to since I reset the SMC. I suspect the SMC needs another reset, but maybe it's not actually resetting because it doesn't think it's connected to power.

At the end of the day, there's nothing left to replace that I can think of. Once the logic board, I/O board and battery are replaced I'm left with only speakers, mics, etc that could still be damaged.

Any ideas? I'm $500 in on repairs now :-(
