All Alchemy Presets Missing

Hello,

My Alchemy presets are not showing up in the Alchemy browser, however, they are showing up under the drop down menu.

I have been searching for online solutions for hours and have tried each one I've seen: refreshed library, checked folder permissions in all 4 locations. I've even reinstalled Logic. Does anyone have ideas?

Thanks...

T

That's unusual.  Right off, I'd verify your window doesn't have some other option accidentally selected.

Top left you have "Browse" selected.  To the right of that, it is set to Default, not one of that menu's options.  The 4 categories below that are set to "All".  Search field at the lower right is empty.  HHHmmm...

From the Logic Pro X menu, go to Sound Library, open Sound Manger, verify all Alchemy and all else is indeed installed.

Hi Ben, apparently I never saw your reply.

6 months later, I'm in no better situation. I've since updated my OS to El Capitan via clean install and restored back-up (and the new Logic update a few days ago). I've tried recreating the database file... nothing.

Any additional tips that come to mind? Thanks much.

please tell me you found the answer!! same problem.

Hey T-rex.  Have you found a solution to this yet??? Same problem.  I bought a 2017 iMac, downloaded my Logic and all additional content and Alchemy will not display any factory presets in the browser.  Sure, you can find them in the drop down... but that's a pain and slows down work-flow.  Please help.

Have you found the answer yet? I have the same problem.

Assuming it's the same issue, you may wish to try the solution in this post on the LogicProhelp forum.  I can't vouch that it'll work but it may be worth a try.

regards

Graham
