IPod to PC

I have an IPod 4th Gen.  I need to move songs off so I can add newer songs.  I don't want to lose the songs that I have on it.  Is there any way to move the songs to my PC?

Install iTunes and then use it to store your music for you.

Thanks Allan.  So I store the songs from the iPod to iTunes, it will save the songs for later use?
