Is my MacBook Pro beyond repair?

I own an early 2011 MacBook Pro 15". About one year ago I replace the hard drive with a 275GB SSD and increased the memory to 16GB. Until 3 days ago it worked great and fast. The other day, it started to flicker and reboot on its own during normal use and now it won't completely boot beyond a blank white screen. I can log in with my password and the bar will go about halfway and then.....blank white screen. I have tried every remedy suggested by Apple and others and no luck. I brought it to a certified Apple repair location today and was told the motherboard is shot, no replacement available, "it's time to buy a new Mac". Any suggestions?

Then you need to look on online to find a motherboard that mets the specs and do the repair yourself.

What do you use it for and are you looking to buy used or new?

I'm looking to fix it.
