Don't like 12.7

I don't like what 12.7 did to my apps. I tried to go backwards to 12.6 using these instructions:

The problem is that it keeps telling me a newer version exists, and the software won't load.

How can I solve this issue? I so don't like not having control over my apps like I did before.

Everything looked like it would work. The pkg downloaded and installed. When I tried to open iTunes, a pop-up said it couldn't open it because the itunes library.itl was newer than the itunes. Can I just delete the ...library.itl and let the version replace it?

I think I figured it out. Replace the library.itl with the oldest "previous" itl.

Sorry for the multiple replies. It didn't look like it posted. Then I couldn't find a place to delete the extras.
