Sharing iCloud Music Library playlists with Fam...

So I have a music collection. It consists of files I've purchased from Apple, files created from ripping my own collection of purchased CDs, and files of songs I have created myself (as an amateur musician). I am also a subscriber to the Apple Music Family Plan with my wife. I initiated the plan and added her. I also turned on my iCloud Music Library, and it took a while, but it seems that Apple uploaded all my music to the servers because now I can listen to my entire library wherever I am (I am not tethered to the hard drive where all the actual files reside). HOWEVER: when I want to share a playlist I've created for my wife (which could be my own music, or music I ripped from a CD, or purchased from Apple, or a combination of these), she cannot hear them. I can send her official, Apple "curated" playlists (Apple's Best of the '80s or whatever), and she can play them fine. But any playlists I create myself, she cannot play. When I click the little circle/3 dot icon on the upper right corner of the iTunes interface, I select "Share Playlist" and send it to my wife via text message. Again, Apple playlists go to her no problem. She receives them on her phone and listens to them. But when I text her a playlist I've created, she gets a text but it just shows up as blank on her phone when she clicks the link. I suspect that has to do with the fact that the playlist is referencing music that is stored under my iCloud Music Library account, but shouldn't my wife be able to see it, as we have an Apple Music Family account? If this is not possible, I don't see the point of Apple Music/Family Plan at all. Thanks for helping me!
