Repetitive Machine Verification

After every back I get a notification that Time Machine completed a verification of your backups on "disk name'.   To improve reliability, Time machine must create a new back up.   What this effectively does is delete the back up and start another meaning I have no weekly or monthly backups.  Any ideas?   Oh I should mention I back up to a NETGEAR ReadyNAS.  Apple time machines do not have enough data space for all our family devices.
