What's the most efficient way to copy Photos Li...

I moved my Photos Library off my iMac's hard drive to an external hard drive quite some time ago. I now want to copy the library from that external hard drive to another external hard drive. What is the mose efficient and safest method of doing so? I know I can drag and drop the library, but is there a better solution?

My operating system: OS 10.13 (High Sierra)

Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled).

Drag and drop is as good as any other. You could use an app to back up the library to the new drive. Any app that makes a straight copy would work - so apps like Carbon Copy Cloner or Chronosync, for instance, but not Time Machine. One plus with this is it might take care of any permissions glitches that arise.

I'd go Drag and drop. If that proved glitchy I'd start over with a back up app.
